The Joint Venture Lead by HS Group submitted the final report for  the Mathematical Model of  Ground Water Modelling and Simulation of Wadi Araba Basins Project– Jordan

After 30 weeks of starting the works in this assignment, the International and local Consortia lead by HS Group finished the works successfully and submitted the final report for this assignment including Ground Water Modelling System Software.

The Final Report was approved by Jordan Valley Authority and Wadi Araba Development Company.

Groundwater modeling is an effective tool to understand the groundwater flow system and manage the groundwater resources.

The following objective of the project were achieved:

• Develop a three-dimensional groundwater flow model for Wadi Araba North and South Basin using MODFLOW.
• Determine the safe yield for Wadi Araba Basins.
• Investigate different scenarios of groundwater management of Wadi Araba including variation of abstraction and recharge rates .
