Al Mokha Sustainable Development Master Plan

بدأت مجموعة إتش إِس العالمية العمل إعداد المخطط التنموي لمديرية المخا – تعز من خلال مكاتبها الإقليمية في الجمهورية اليمنية والمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية.

إن الموقع الاستراتيجي لمديرية المخاء يعكس الوضع الماضي والحاضر للجمهورية اليمنية، حيث تضم مديرية المخا التي يبلغ طول ساحلها نحو 25 كيلومتراً واحدة من أهم المناطق في محافظة تعز التي يعتبرها اليمنيون مورداً حيوياً ذو قيمة بيئية، اقتصادية، ثقافية، تاريخية وجمالية هائلة. ويستند مخطط المخا الرئيسي للتنمية المستدامة على أن‌ “‌المخا‌‍‌ء‌ 2040‌: ميناء مرن شامل ومستدام به يزدهر‌ وينمو المجتمع – ينبض بالحياة والفرص‌” وذلك بما يتوافق مع تطلعات المجتمع المحلي وبما يكفل تحقيق تنمية شاملة طويلة المدى والمتمثلة بامتلاك عاصمة اقتصادية مستدامة لمحافظة تعز بحلول عام 2040م. ومن أجل تحقيق هذه الرؤية تطمح الخطة الرئيسية المقترحة إلى إنشاء مدينة شاملة ومرنة تحقق تكافؤ‌ الوصول إلى الخدمات العامة وفرص العمل وتحقيق التوازن بين النظم الاجتماعية والبيئية والاقتصادية في ‌‍‌المديرية ‌دعم الترابط والاتصال وذلك من خلال تكثيف النسيج الحضري المتناثر‌ و ‌الحد من‌‍ التجزئة المكانية والتخفيف من حدة الفقر عن طريق تحسين نوعية الغذاء وخفض تكلفته إلى جانب توفير فرص‌ ‌العمل‌.

HS International Group, through its regional offices in the Republic of Yemen and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, has started work on preparation of the development Master Plan of the directorate of Mocha – Taiz.

The strategic location of Al-Mokha District reflects the past and present status of the Republic of Yemen. Al-Mokha District, having a 25 kms coastline, embraces one of the most important areas in Taiz Governorate, which Yemenis consider as a vital resource of enormous environmental, economic, cultural, historical and aesthetic value. Al-Mokha’s Master Plan for sustainable development is based on “Al-Mokha 2040: a flexible, comprehensive and sustainable port in which society thrives and grows – vibrant with life and opportunities,” in line with aspirations of the local community and to ensure the achievement of comprehensive, long-term development represented in owning a sustainable economic capital for Taiz Governorate by 2040. In order to achieve this vision, the proposed Master Plan  aspires to establish a comprehensive and flexible city that achieves equal access to public services and job opportunities and achieves a balance between the social, environmental and economic systems in the district, supporting interdependence and communication, through the densification of the sparse urban fabric, reducing spatial fragmentation and alleviating poverty through improving the quality of food and reducing its cost, as well as providing new job opportunities.
