Narrative description

Lujma dam site is located in Beni Bahlul District east of Sana’a. The existing earth fill dani with U S reinforced concrete diaphragm is presently in operation and rests across Wadi Al Lujma. The dam is approximately 16 m high, length of dam at crest 60 m, width at crest 4 m and the capacity is 28000 m3. The village of Kheiran is about 1 km downstream the dam site and is reported to have about 600 residents. Task included but not limited to review available studies, site investigations and data, Review dam site conditions and site physical features, review of existing foundation conditions including geological, geotechnical aspects of existing dam and spillway.
