HS International has been selected as the winning bidder to provide consulting services for the technical assistance required to implement the “Unplanned Areas Upgrading and Employment-Enhancement Programme in Egypt – TOP-UP Phase in Egypt. This project is funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) and is being executed by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA). The additional phase program aims, through the technical assistance provided by the consultant, to support MSMEDA (and its governmental counterparts) in implementing its activities in four targeted areas in the Cairo and Giza governorates. This will be achieved by managing the development activities of the additional phase at MSMEDA’s level, supporting the provincial-level implementation of small-scale urban development activities that require labor-intensive execution, and small public works identified in the targeted areas. Furthermore, it aims to enhance the capacities of intermediaries (the governorates and their operational entities) within the framework of the specified projects. The consultancy services contract was signed on May 13, 2024, and the project, which consists of three main phases comprising 21 sub-activities, is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.
