Project’s Brief
To revise and update the master plan of greater Taiz on 30,000 Hectares. Duties included but not limited to the following 6 phases:

  • Analysis of existing drawing condition in collaboration with key stockholders.
  • Forecast scenarios of future growth
  • Draft master plan recommendations and stockholders feedback.
  • Final master plan recommendation and approval process
  • Immediate and short term capital investment plans
  • Final report.

Tasks performed include complete urban planning design, preliminary study and redesign of existing utility networks in Taiz ( water supply and sewerage), environmental assessment study, analyse the environmental characteristics and natural elements in the city including natural assets and environmentally sensitive areas (the mountains, coastline, natural storm water drainage channel, etc in Taiz City.)

Scope of Service
Conduct an environmental (ecological & biological) assessment of the effects of existing and proposed water supply, sewerage and wastewater treatment facilities within the project areas. Make an interpretation of all data gathered and for the finding of the EA and related recommendations. As well as conduct baseline establishment and analysis, preparation of a baseline description of the existing physical, chemical biological and socio-cultural aspects of the areas likely to be affected by the proposed project on the basis of existing information.
