It primarily serves all economic and residential activities along the western coastal strip and its branches, where connecting roads from the governorates (Al-Hudaydah &#8211; Taiz &#8211; Lahj) meet. Therefore, the project forms the main artery for all types of traffic, heavy and light, including transportation and freight.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"7:1-7:608\">The road from Al-Mukha to Bab Al-Mandab is part of this general coastal road, with a total length of (75) km out of the road extending from Al-Mukha to Aden with a total length of approximately (280) km. It was constructed in 2003 and put into service in mid-2004. It consists of earthworks, a sub-base, a base course, an asphalt layer with a thickness of (5) cm and a width of (7.2) m, earth shoulders ranging between (1.20) m &#8211; (1.50) m, in addition to structural works represented by drainage pipes, culverts, and concrete protection according to rainwater drainage and structural protection requirements.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:453\">The total length of the road scheduled for maintenance and rehabilitation is (62.4) km, which is part of the coastal road linking the main cities (Al-Hudaydah &#8211; Al-Mukha &#8211; Aden). It has been divided into three sections for the purpose of rapid implementation, and each section has been assigned to a specialized construction company.
