Project’s Brief
Revising and Updating the Master Plan of Al Mukalla on 45,000 Hectares. With approximate population of about 170.000 persons. Duties included but not limited to the following 6 phases:
Task performed include complete urban planning design, preliminary study and redesign of existing utility networks in Al Mukalla ( water supply, sewerage, environmental assessment study, analyze the environmental characteristics and natural elements in the city including natural assets and environmentally sensitive areas (the mountains, coastline, natural storm water drainage channel, etc in Al Mukalla City. Scope of Service Analyze the environmental characteristics and natural elements in each city including their natural assets and environmentally sensitive areas (the mountains, coastline, valleys or Wadi, natural storm water drainage channel or Khour, marshlands, etc in Mukalla, and sources of environmental pollution (soil, water, air, noise), identify the areas that should be protected from development and propose measures to mitigate the negative environmental impacts of current and planned development, especially in the areas used by , and or earmarked for industrial zones and the seaport and airport and related activities. Conduct an environmental (ecological and biological) assessment o1 the effects of existing and proposed water supply, sewerage and wastewater treatment facilities within the project areas, reviews of available documentation, limited field reconnaissance, interpretation of all data gathered and for the findings of the EA and related recommendations, identification of areas, species and other components of the local ecosystem which are of value, at risk and in need of protection or conservation ,Baseline Establishment and Analysis, preparation of a baseline description of the existing physical, chemical, biological and socio-cultural aspects of the areas likely to be affected by the proposed project on the basis of existing information. |
